Lone Star Regional Competition – DALLAS
Date TBA, we plan to hold the event in June – July, once we are back to our normal practices and the Stay at Home order has been lifted. Once a final date has been decided we will update our website and notify coaches and parents for planning.
All athletes are invited to participate in this Cheer Competition. Teams will compete against other athletes of the same basic age & skill level. Each team will perform a CHEER and a CHEER DANCE ROUTINE. Teams will be judged on personality (smiles), curriculum requirements, spirit, technique & overall showmanship! There will be a practice run-thru with your coach prior to the Competition in a second gym. All athletes will earn a large cheer trophy and will be competing for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & runner-up placements!
This event is divided into different sessions, please review schedule.
-The Competition is a great opportunity for ATHLETES to SHINE & demonstrate the skills they have been learning at team practices!
-Cheer placements are given as “medals” for all team results—1st thru runner–up!
-All family & friends are invited to attend and support, Spectator Fee does apply.
As part of our Cheer Program, ALL ACTIVSTARS Cheer Coaches are permitted to incorporate props, signs, team bows or other accessories into the Competition performances at their discretion – this helps with creativity and uniqueness of individual team performances while at the event. We allow our Coaching Staff to charge up to $10 per athlete (range from $1-$10) for these “special” Competition items if used as part of the team performance. Coaches are asked to coordinate directly with parents/athletes at their practice location does not have full details on each team’s specific accessories, but we are available to answer Competition-related questions!
Poms and team uniforms are required to compete.
All Athletes should be in the MAIN GYM sitting by or before the Team Group-Up time indicated per session. We will run the event on-time and late arrivals have the potential of missing their practice time with their team. Leave early to plan for delays.

Parents are NOT permitted to pick-up their child early or after their performance. Please plan to stay for the full time as indicated per session. This is for the SAFETY of all our Cheer athletes!
PRACTICE ROOM Teams will be practicing in a second event gym to warm-up prior to competing. This is a CLOSED area from spectators & parents. Teams will be working on reviewing and warming up stunts, formations and other areas of their routine pre-performance. After teams have performed they will be waiting in this same area for Awards. Parents are asked to stay in the stands during the full competition, and not attempt to go to the practice area. (*Selected Parent Helpers will be assisting the coach during the practice time).
TEAM MAKE-UP We request that all athletes arrive “performance” ready. The school DOES NOT permit make-up being applied in the restrooms, outside in the parking lot, or anywhere else on school grounds by teams/parents. This rule needs to be followed by all attendees.
EVENT GUIDELINES The facility that we are guests at to hold this event does not permit any food or beverages, other than bottled water, to be brought inside the main gym. We do need all spectators to follow this rule to stay in good standing with the facility for future events. We appreciate your support and adherence.
